Jean-David Malo joined European Commission in 2001. He became Director in 2017 and was in charge of Open Innovation and Open Science and of Commission R&I financial instruments. In 2019, following the European Council’s request to set up the European Innovation Council (EIC), he became Director of the EIC Task Force. Since April 2021 he is the Director of the Agency for EIC and SMEs - EISMEA.
